(Chorus) We're all doomed from the start, Could be a gunshot or attack of heart, A nuclear reaction could pave the way, For the day your head will meet your heart, And bring you right back to the start, We're all doomed, so pour another drink my way, (Verse 1) Well it must have been about a year ago, I heard a song on the radio, That damn near made me crawl out of my skin, Well these boys know nothin' 'bout right from wrong, They can't make it sound good in a song, They don't know nothin' 'bout livin' in sin, (Chorus) (Verse 2) Lord, let me tell you, we made it to Virginia just shy of a ghost, We were dodgin' tornadoes on our way to the coast, With the luck of a sinner, the maker wouldn't hear my plea, Oh, oh no! about

“Thrash Grass” is The Native Howl’s 3rd recording effort out of C.A.D. Studios and Clean as Dirt Records. This five track EP showcases their genre of the same name, and combines the melodicism and precision of bluegrass with the intensity and aggressiveness of thrash metal.

The style encompasses melodic sequences and instrumental percussiveness usually indicative of bluegrass music. Combined with the drum patterns and feel/tempo changes usually indicative of thrash metal, the unique meld is showcased throughout the EP. The lyrical content of the album ranges from themes of inner struggle and life’s journeys to opposition to the concept of fate. The compositional technique of text painting, both indicative of bluegrass and thrash metal, is present throughout.
